Updates & Backup

Review the version-specific changes, create a backup, and verify the site after the update.

What changed in Banter6 v1.0.1

  • The small logo at the left of desktop navigation can be shown, replaced, and resized in the Customizer.
  • The repeated Category and Information icon in the mobile drawer can use a custom image.
  • The mobile icon size can be adjusted between 24–48 pixels.
  • The built-in icon remains as an automatic fallback.
  1. Back up

    Create a current database and wp-content backup before installing the update.

  2. Update Banter6

    Use the protected updater or upload the v1.0.1 ZIP and choose the WordPress option to replace the installed version.

  3. Configure the new controls

    Open Appearance → Customize → Banter6 to select the desktop logo and mobile menu icon.

  4. Purge caches and test

    Clear page, object, server, and CDN caches, then verify desktop and mobile navigation while logged out.
