Use the safest update method
Premium themes can use protected SaeTheme updates when their license is active. Manual updates can also be installed by uploading the new ZIP and choosing WordPress' replace-current-version option.
- Back up first
Create a database backup and keep a copy of wp-content before a major release.
- Review the changelog
Confirm the new version and any migration notes before installing it.
- Update the theme
Use the protected updater or upload the new ZIP. Theme updates should not remove posts, pages, media, menus, orders, or licenses.
- Clear caches and test
Purge server/CDN caches, then verify the homepage, articles, navigation, checkout, login, and responsive layouts.
