Before updating

Back up the database and wp-content. Avoid editing core theme files directly because an update can replace them.

Manual update

1. Back up

   Save the database and website files.

2. Download the new ZIP

   Get the latest SaeMart release from your SaeTheme account.

3. Upload the theme

   Use the standard WordPress theme update workflow and keep the theme folder named saemart.

4. Clear cache

   Clear caches and check Home, Shop, Cart, Checkout, My Account, and at least one product.

Data that should remain safe

Products, orders, customers, coupons, and WooCommerce settings live in the database; media lives in uploads. A normal theme update does not remove that data.
